Book Review – The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy Trilogy
This is the second time I have read the full Hitchhiker’s trilogy (in four parts), and the third time reading the first book of the trilogy – The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. And I have enjoyed all of them very much. Douglas Adams was a completely insane guy, and it is a very sad thing he died so young. There is so much to say about this book (or more correctly, books) that I don’t know where to start… First of all, if you haven’t read them go ahead and do this. Right now. Stop reading this and start reading the … Continue reading

Book Review – Stranger In A Strange Land
The classic science fiction novel, Stranger in a Strange Land started pretty good, moved partly into a cheap soft porn mini-novel of the 70′s and in between provided interesting views on religion, life and may other things. But what made … Continue reading

How To Reset Your Windows Password (If You Can Log-in As An Admin)
The laptop I use has a fingerprint reader so I rarely (if ever) write a password to enter my windows account. Today the fingerprint reader didn’t work (probably something to do with my KVM switch being connected or some other strange mixture of variables) and when I wrote my password… it told me it was wrong! I tried a number of passwords, but nothing happened. I read some blog entries on how to reset the password but nothing worked… And then I thought… Hey, I am an administrator. If I can log-in with my regular username, I can create another … Continue reading

Book Review – Going Postal
As I mentioned in a previous post, I should have read Going Postal book before reading Making Money, because it gives some interesting background on the characters that appear in both of the stories, and reading Making Money before Going Postal does spoil some of the fun. But nonetheless, this is another EXCELLENT book by Terry Pratchett. Both Making Money and Going Postal are an impressive parody about the monetary world and how most people are gullible and will transform lies given by others to truths in their head if they think the lie is to their advantage. And also of how … Continue reading
